The stay was a highlight of our trip to Kyoto. We enjoyed the spacious rooms that provided a relaxing retreat after exploring local sights like Yasaka Shrine, just a short walk away. The Japanese breakfast was a bit of a letdown, especially since there were no vegetarian options, but the complimentary coffee and croissants in the morning were a pleasant surprise. Overall, the peaceful atmosphere made returning to this place after a day of sightseeing feel so inviting.

I woudl have expected some complimentary perks for all the inconvenience, but I guess that’s too much to ask for. I almost wanted to give a good review, but I just couldn't!

The location was fantastic, just a 15-minute walk to Kiyomizu-dera Temple. The staff were extremely accommodating, and my kids loved the fragrant wood bathtub in our clean and cozy room. The daily kaiseki meals were a culinary delight.

For dads, it would be great if the hotel provided kid-friendly dining options.
